Yes it is, because ACT4ECO does not only provide information, it also requires input from the user in order to be able to test the learning and provide user-relevant feedback. The login ensures that you can leave the platform and finalise an action at a later point, it makes sure that you don’t lose data if there is a “hole” in your internet connection, and it helps protect the system from bots and hackers.
No, we help you prepare yourself for taking action – either by do-it-yourself solutions or by the help from professionals. We would suggest that you find the right professional company by using local/national websites or get recommendation through your personal network, and that you ask three companies to give a you a detailed offer.
The platform – EngageSuite – that is underlying the Actions has been through a Data Protection and Privacy Impact Assessment, in which GDPR compliance is one of the aspects assessed. It is coded with a very robust coding platform. You can find the data protection and privacy policy here.
We are open for collaboration on new content. Any content will be reviewed by professional experts to assure its validity. Also, the Action will be developed in collaboration with the group behind the platform.
ACT4ECO has been developed under the European project ECO2 (Energy Conscious Consumers) and as such without any commercial interests. It is the intention to expand the offers of ACT4ECO to cover more consumers actions on energy, climate and sustainability. For this purpose there will be fundraised, also towards commercial actors. However, no actions in ACT4ECO will refer to or advertise for specific products or companies.
Act4Eco is the result of Energy Conscious Consumer (ECO2), a Project funded under Horizon 2020, the EU Research and Innovation Programme. Our purpose is to share knowledge internationally and our main focus is on validated knowledge that doesn’t have any commercial interests. All information has been reviewed by experts and all actions have been run in pilots before being released on the platform. Therefore ACT4ECO is a more reliable source to information than sources with commercial interests or without expert reviews online.
However, all information can become outdated in one way or the other – if you find information to be incorrect, please report it to us via the support-mail, and we will take a look at it and act upon any incorrect information.
